Frequently asked questions

Clear answers, before you visit.

Short answers to the things our customers ask most often. If your question isn’t here, write to us — we’re happy to answer.

How often should I have my eyes checked?

We recommend an eye exam every year for adults and every six months for children, because their vision changes faster. Come in sooner if you have headaches, if your eyes get tired at a screen or if letters in the distance no longer look sharp.

Book an eye exam — it takes about 30 minutes and you take your prescription with you.

I have a prescription from another doctor. Can you make my glasses?

Yes. Bring the prescription to the store or send it to us on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you which lenses suit it. If the prescription is more than a year or two old, or you don’t feel comfortable in your current glasses, we recommend a new eye exam before you order.

How do I compare lens options?

You don’t have to do it alone. In store, our optometrist and advisers explain the differences between lenses — material, thickness, treatments and price — and suggest two or three options that suit your prescription and how you use your glasses: computer work, driving, reading or sport.

If you’d like to start from home, call us or write to us with your prescription and we’ll give you a first idea of the options and prices: Tirana +355 68 806 6661 · Librazhd +355 68 806 6662.

Will I get used to progressive lenses?

Most people get used to them within a few days to two weeks. It helps a great deal when the measurements are taken precisely and the frame is adjusted well to your face — we do this in store. If you still don’t feel comfortable after that, the Full Fit Guarantee gives you a re-examination and one free lens replacement within 30 days (60 days with Care+).

Come and try them and we’ll explain how they work.

What does the warranty cover?

Our warranty is a written document you receive when you collect your glasses. It states how long it lasts, what is covered and what is not covered.

You have 15 days for a return or exchange. If you can’t adapt to progressives, we re-examine you and replace the lenses once for free within 30 days — 60 days with Care+. Drops, scratches from incorrect cleaning, heat, chemicals, loss and third-party repairs are not covered.

Having a problem with your glasses? Bring them with the receipt to either store and we’ll look at it together.

How much does lens mounting cost?

Mounting is free when you order the lenses from us, even if you bring a frame bought elsewhere. We fit lenses you already have for free when they don’t need cutting. If they need to be cut to fit a different frame, mounting costs 1 500 L — we confirm it with you before we start.

Bring the frame to the store and we’ll tell you right away what we can do.

When will my glasses be ready?

It depends on the lenses you choose. When you order, we give you a date and write it on the order. If that date is at risk, we let you know before it, not after it has passed.

For an approximate timeframe for your prescription, write to us on WhatsApp.

My glasses are loose or a screw came out. What should I do?

Bring them to either of our stores — no appointment needed. Simple adjustments, like screws, realigning the temples and often the nose pads, are done quickly. Repairs that need gluing or soldering are priced according to the damage, and we tell you the price beforehand.

Can I have prescription sunglasses?

Yes. You can choose prescription sun lenses, including polarised ones, or photochromic lenses that darken in the sun and clear when you go indoors — one pair of glasses for the whole day.

See our sunglasses or come to the store and we’ll show you the colours and options.

Do you have contact lenses?

Yes, daily and monthly, including for astigmatism. If you’re wearing them for the first time, contact lens fitting is free: we find the right lens for you and teach you how to put it in and look after it.

Tell us the brand you use and we’ll let you know if we have it ready.

Does your eye exam replace a visit to an ophthalmologist?

An optometric eye exam measures your vision and determines the prescription for glasses or lenses. It is not a diagnosis of eye diseases: if we notice something during the exam that a doctor should see, we tell you and refer you to an ophthalmologist.
